Basketball

 Hi viewers, I had a 3 on 3 basketball game last Friday and we won 48 to 6. I think, in the game, our team did good shooting and passing. What I think we need to work on is calling out for the ball and marking. That basketball game felt a whole lot shorter than last years basket ball game. Madock went for a lot of far shots and he got a lot in, I only got one shot in the basketball game but I did a lot of good passing. This year the back board was bigger, so it was easier to get a shot in. In the basketball game Jayden got 'Player of the day'. I had to stay for all of the basketball games, so did Laiseni and Jayden, so we all just played outside until we could go home. reading authors purpose

1. Write a paragraph explaining why you think the author wrote this story.

Think about:

-Important decisions the characters made.

-Who the book is written for

-What someone might learn or understand from reading it.

The book that I have been reading is Badge of Honor’. The main characters are Tomasi and Issac who have been chosen as school captains. Miss Latu doesn’t know that Tomasi gets into fights but Isaac knows that Tomasi gets into fights after school and Isaac doesn't think that Tomasi should be a school captain. Tomasi needs to make a decision whether or not he should tell Miss Latu. The problem is that Tomasi and Isaac are friends. 

Issac decides not to tell Mrs Latu that Tomasi fights after school so I think that this makes Issac just as guilty as Tomasi. 

I think that this book is a bit more for smaller kids so that when they get older they don’t get into fights after school.

Fighting is bad so they should NOT do fights ever unless you have karate and you should tell on those in this case bye.

We have watched an interview video here is the link here ( youtube video) then we did interviewer questions and diver answer. We have been learning how to write a recount. As year 6's we need to say who why what when and how. We need to write in first person (I) and past tense. We have been focusing on using dialogue, emotion and strong vocabulary.

Here is the interviewer that I wrote, imagining I was the diver and telling my recount of this experience.

Almost swallowed by a whale

Interviewer: What were you taking photos off before you got swallowed by the whale? 

Diver: Well I was taking photos of the famous sardine and all the marine animals there like sharks, whales, and sea creatures that feed on sardines..`

Interviewer: So you had this incredible experience and  are lucky to be life. Tell what happened?

Diver:  I was very lucky to survive. I could have drowned if the brutus whale didn’t spit me out and dived down.

Interviewer: what did it feel like when you were inside the whale?

Diver: It was pitch black inside there was heaps of pressure I instantly knew it was a whale.

Interviewer: how did you not panic?

Diver: There was no time to panic inside the whale because it is not the whale it is the situation.

Interviewer: what did it feel like after the experience?

Diver:  Fine I still wanted to swim right after I went swimming again.

I am agent Walter Becket. I am trying to get the briefcase I finally got it!! Whoops My bagel is so good but this pigeon kept bugging me here take some no not all of it oh know he fell in my briefcase dont press that button no ahh run for your life!!! Oh don’t worry!!!! There was a pig that ended up eating the bagel. I don’t know where the pig came from but it was hungry.
